Sapium sebiferum


A medium sized deciduous tree with greyish black fissured bark.

Leaves are alternate, entire on the margin, abruptly acute at the apex.

Petioles are long as 5-7 cm long.

The origin of this species is China, in Japan it is planted for street trees and garden trees in warmer area.

Candles and soap are made from the wax of the seeds.
